Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation, also known as augmentation mammoplasty, is performed to enlarge small breasts, undeveloped breasts, or breasts that have decreased in size after pregnancy. It is accomplished by surgically inserting an implant either beneath the breast tissue or beneath the chest wall muscle to create a fuller appearance. Several different surgical incisions exist for implant placement, and a variety of implant materials and styles are available. The procedure may be combined with others such as breast lift for more satisfying results. (more info)

Breast Lift
The breast lift operation, also known as mastopexy, is performed to restore youthful shape and lift for breasts that have sagged as a result of weight loss, pregnancy, or simply the effects of aging and gravity. Breast droop or ptosis is corrected by repositioning the nipple and breast tissue to a higher level and removing excess skin. The procedure may be performed by itself or in combination with breast augmentation for added volume and firmness. (more info)

Breast Reduction
Breast reduction surgery, also known as reduction mammoplasty, will correct oversized sagging breasts. It is often considered a reconstructive procedure since very large breasts can interfere with normal functions and physical activity causing back, neck and shoulder pain along with postural deformities. Performed under general anesthesia, the procedure removes fat and glandular tissue and tightens skin to produce smaller, lighter breasts that are in a healthier proportion to the rest of the body. Male Breast Reduction
The development of large breasts in men is known as gynecomastia. Although there are a variety of potential causes for breast development in men, most often the cause is unknown. Men who feel self-conscious about their appearance are helped with breast reduction surgery. The procedure removes fat and/or glandular tissue from the breast, and in extreme cases removes excess skin, resulting in a contoured chest that is flatter and firmer. (more info)

Breast Reconstruction
Modern surgical technology makes it possible to reconstruct a natural looking breast after mastectomy due to breast cancer or other diseases. Breast reconstruction is commonly performed immediately following mastectomy, so that the patient wakes with a new breast mound. Alternatively, reconstruction may begin years after mastectomy. A variety of options for breast reconstruction are available, utilizing both the patient's own tissues or breast implants; your surgeon should work together with you in deciding what is best for you.
